One of the more interesting aspects of the recycle Santa Fe Festival is the Juried Art Exhibition featuring unique works of art created using 75% recycled materials. Located upstairs at the Sweeney Center, many of the artist in the Art Market enter that one special piece in the exhibition. So make the trip up the stairs to check it out.

Don't forget the Student Recycled Art Exhibition, every year more area schools participate in this imaginative and educational event, the event planners are always delighted by the creativity and ingenuity of our young artist and fashion designers. For more information on the student art show visit here. The ever popular Make and Take table is always a great activity for young and old to create a recycled work of art to take home and enjoy. This year the Girl Scouts, who have a profound interest in making art out of recycled materials, will serve as hosts.

One of the favorite events and a definite highlight of the festival is the opening night Recycle Santa Fe Fashion Show  the brainchild of designer and environmental activist Nancy Judd.  Many designers young and old fabricate clothing made from reusable and recycled materials, so when your kids get tired of that trampoline, do what these folks do-- turn it into a hot looking Goth evening gown!
