Welcome to the Recycle
Santa Fe Art Festival

We are excited about plans for our Sixth Annual weekend, in cooperation with Santa Fe Beautiful and their recycling efforts surrounding America Recycles Day.

The Recycled Art Market was the core idea for this whole festival. Conceived at a local craft show on a lazy Sunday afternoon in 1999 by Mark Dabelstein and Joe Buffalo Nickels, they both wanted a specialized market to showcase recycled art. A serendipitous connection with Nancy Judd at Santa Fe Beautiful propelled the idea to our first efforts that November.

Six years and three larger venues later, the Recycle Santa Fe Art Festival is, according to the Santa Fe Reporter, "... a shockingly good time... the weekends biggest can't miss event... a highlight of the fall season."

This year's venue is again the Sweeney Convention Center, located in downtown Santa Fe two blocks from the Plaza. Live local music and a remote broadcast by KBAC Radio Free Santa Fe kick off the Opening night.

The juried Art Exhibition, Art Market, Student Art Competition, and the opening night Recycled Fashion show all include prizes for the winners. This three day event features the best in creative recycled arts and fun for the entire family.

Admission: to the Festival is $2.00 per day or just $3.00 for a three-day weekend pass, that's less than a latte!!!!  This event is free for kids under 12 so bring the family, get your holiday shopping started early and learn a thing or two about recycling.

Finally, don't miss the wildly popular and always outrageous Fashion Show!
